The Atlanta airport, among the world’s most busiest, services over 150 non-stop flights every day to destinations across the U.S. It also provides service to 60 non-stop international destinations. The Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau offers excellent advice on getting to Atlanta and how to get around town once you arrive.
The Emory Conference Center Hotel is located about 20 minutes east of downtown (and 30 minutes from the airport). The Atlanta Superior Shuttle can be booked for $50 round trip. Uber and Lyft are also popular in Atlanta, and their fares range from $20-35 each way.
For travelers on a budget, the Conference Center is also accessible by public transportation. Visitors may take the Marta train (the station is located inside the airport) to the Lindbergh Station, and then ride the #6 bus to the Conference Center. The trip will take about 90 minutes and cost $3.50.
And if you’re driving in, maps and directions are available on the Emory Conference Center Hotel website and the interactive map below. Parking is only $5/night for AHS Conference registrants staying in the Hotel ($15 otherwise), and free at the dormitory.
