The mission of the American Harp Society, Inc., is to celebrate our legacy, inspire excellence, and empower the next generation of harpists. We bring this mission to life through sharing and education – for harpists, the wider musical community, and the public at large.
Education is a central focus of the 42nd National Conference of the American Harp Society, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, June 30-July 3, 2016. The Conference will take place at the Emory Conference Center Hotel and The Schwartz Center, Emory University. Sessions include world-class workshops, master classes, concerts, recitals and exhibits. And the excitement is shared beyond our membership through three formal evening concerts open to the general public, featuring both internationally renowned and Georgia professional, amateur and youth artists.
The AHS is a 53-year-old non-profit organization with over 3,000 members across the United States, Canada and abroad. We welcome harpists of all styles and genres—lever or pedal harp, historical or modern, electronic and jazz – as well as those who are just fans of the instrument. For more information on the many programs under the auspices of the American Harp Society, Inc., please visit the website at www.harpsociety.org.
A sponsorship for the 2016 National Conference of the American Harp Society, Inc. offers exposure to a diverse audience of musicians and visitors from across the southeast and U.S. All sponsors are featured on the AHS website, and those at the Bronze level and up enjoy recognition in a monthly e-newsletter delivered directly to the inboxes of over 3,000 members, as well as discounted advertising rates in the Conference program book. The Conference will also benefit Atlanta with the impact of 500 – 600 attendees needing hotel rooms and transportation, dining out, and visiting local attractions during and around their Conference experience.
