Opportunities abound for young harpists to participate and perform at the American Harp Society National Conference!
The Honors Ensemble is geared toward advanced harpists between the ages of 14 to 22. These young people will perform as part of the opening night concert, in collaboration with Bridget Kibbey, Park Stickney, Indra Thomas, and conductor Joseph Young. Applications are due April 15.
The Youth Ensemble is for young harpists between the ages of 6 and 14. They will be coached daily by renowned teachers Catherine Case, Julia Kay Jamieson, Kela Walton, and Jacquelyn Venter, in preparation for a finale concert on Sunday morning. Applications are due April 15 (NEW extended deadline).
Master Classes are open to harpists of any age and ability level. Students are given the chance to perform a piece and be given a lesson, open to the public, by Susann McDonald, Laura Sherman, Naoko Yoshino, or Remy van Kesteren. Applications are due April 15.
As a special benefit for youth interested in these programs, the early registration discount has been extended for STUDENTS ONLY (age 21 and under) through April.
